Nha Trang Residents Roll out Red Carper For Beauties

Nha trang residents turned out in their thousands on Tran Phu Street yesterday to greet the 80 Miss Universe contestants who went by in a parade on flower-decked cars.

They congregated well before the parade’s 6pm start and waved and called out the names of the contestants’ countries as the 11-car cavalcade slowly went past.

The young women, faced with this rapturous reception, in turn greeted the crowds.

At 7 pm the parade ended with a dazzling display of fireworks.

Today the contestants visited some disadvantaged communities in Khanh Hoa Province and later arrived at the Nha trang Xanh center, which provides treatment to people with HIV/AIDS.
