Swimwear show to take place on Wednesday

The third of this year's "Mini-Competitions" will take place on Wednesday, July 2nd, at the Amphitheatre of the Vinpearl Resort, Vinpearl Land, Hon Tre Island, Nha trang

The Vinpearl Swimwear show, will feature all 80 delegates modeling in their swimsuits, in a special night that will include performances by local artists as well as a display of special effects.

At the end of the show, five finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges; and a winner of "Best in Swimwear" will be announced. Miss Universe's own version of 'Beach Beauty', will get a trophy and USD$2000.00 as her prize.

Tickets for this event are available at US$90, sold at locations announced in newspapers. The event will be shown live on TV.

The first mini-competition was the National Costume presentation, followed by the Ao Dai Fashion Show.

It is the first time in the history of the pageant that such competitions are held. Although these competitions are not included in the Preliminary Judging score, it certainly influences the outcome and perception of some of these contestants.
