Miss Universe contestants inquired into the living conditions of HIV-infected women and needy children during a charity Tour in nha trang city on July 3.
Taking part in the tour were Miss Universe 2007, Riyo Mori and other five beauties, including Miss Hungary, Miss Belgium, Miss Slovak, Miss Czech Republic and Miss United States.
They were welcomed at Nha trang Xanh (Green Nha Trang) club which was founded by the municipal Women Unions with the aim of taking care of women infected by HIV/AIDS.
Riyo Mori said she was admired by the women’s courage to overcome hardship and stigma to integrate into the local community. Representative of the Organising Committee presented the club with VND100 million.
Meanwhile, another group of more than 20 contestants visited Nha Trang’s SOS Children Village.
Despite the downpours, they were welcomed and very touched by the children’s hospitality in the village. The Organising Committee also presented VND100 million to the village.
